Climate Change Capacity Development Network (C3D+)
The C3D+ network is a global initiative which aims to support research and training institutions in developing (non-Annex 1) countries to carry out nationally appropriate activities in order to:
(1) strengthen national UNFCCC positions through evidence based analysis; and
(2) develop climate smart national to local plans and strategies.
C3D+ helps to position national research and training institutions so that they can better advise their respective governments and policy makers in ways that translate international guidance on climate change to the local context. The partnership currently comprises nine organisations, working through a South-South-North approach. UNITAR provides coordination and management services.
